Paid survey websites have grown to be very popular since they let people who are taking their surveys make some extra money. Most folks begin taking surveys with their expectations too high. The difficulty is that a most sites exaggerate the income they can make with surveys. They talk about how you can make $150 an hour. It's certainly possible, but those surveys are hard to qualify for and you're not going to get into one every day.

You'll need to widen your interests in order to find a large number of high paying surveys. You need to register with many, many companies to keep those quality surveys coming in. You should register with a dozen companies or so, to get a good selection of surveys.

The people who join online focus groups can earn a good deal more money than if they only fill in survey forms. The focus group has become a huge part of the advertising and market research industries. Register as a respondent with some market research companies. Once you've registered, they'll email you with the focus groups that fit your categories, and they'll do it on a continuing and regular basis.

Prepare to participate. Familiarize yourself with the topics you are being asked to participate in, so that you are seen as sincere. The company may even call you on the phone to further screen your entry.

You can register with companies that run sweepstakes too. Sooner or later your bound to hit, and when you do, you can make enough to pay for your time, or even more. It's also good to do product testing. You may not do well right away, but once you are signed up with these companies, you can make some pretty decent cash. Also, companies that provide gift cards are worth it. VISA or American Express, for instance, can be used anyplace you can use a credit card, so they're almost as good as currency.

When you get an email to take part in a survey, don't wait too long. Keep an eye on your email box and respond ASAP. The highest paying focus groups and surveys will be filled almost immediately.

This is not about getting rich quick, but you can make some extra cash, and if you stay the course, a decent living. You don't need to be technically savvy, or spend years learning skills, and it sure does beat working for a living.

Everybody talks about how great working from home is. Truth is, once you are successful in making a living from home, there’s no going back. Working from home is both satisfying and rewarding.

Of course, there are problems that you must deal with. You have to limit distractions, keep your focus, and replace the interactions in the workplace with other social gatherings.

There are two ways to work from home. You can either work for a company doing the kinds of jobs that are easily outsourced such as call centers, web design, software development, writing, etc.; or you can start your own home based business.

If you’re interested in working for someone else, there are sites available where you can apply for part time or even full time employment with large to small companies looking for outside help. You can find a listing of these sites at workingfromhome-jobs.com.

If you are looking for something as an independent contractor where you do a job such as writing an article, developing a website, or coding some software, you should check out the Digital Point Forums, www.rentacoder.com,  and the many other forums on the web, where you can signup as a writer or coder.

For those with the entrepreneurial spirit, you can run your own business selling your own products, or selling other’s products as an affiliate. There is a lot of money to be made here, but it does require quite a bit of effort to setup.

To smooth the path, and make it much easier to get into the field, I found it advantageous to join some marketing clubs, and forums. Yes they do cost a some money, but I feel that it is the most cost effective way to get the information and skill sets needed.

The first club you should consider is Maverick Money Makers. They have some very good tutorials for beginners, and they will send you a long way on the path to success. I bought into their VIP level so that I could download the material, and have it on my own computer ready for use.

While I do recommend Maverick Money Makers as an excellent learning tool, some of their programs and up sells aren’t all that great. You should read everything they have available, then drop me an email, or give me a call, before you start running any campaigns, or spending any additional money. I’ll be more than happy to share my personal experiences with you.
