Here are nine steps to website building with various options for each step. It's not hard if you take it a step at a time, and don't try to shortcut the process.

  1. Choose a topic or niche.
  2. Select a domain name.
  3. Create your site's blueprint.
  4. Purchase hosting.
  5. Choose an HTML editor and other website tools.
  6. Create the look and feel of your website.
  7. Create the content for your website.
  8. Drive traffic to your website.
  9. Monetize your website.
